‘Tiger’ Phillip endorses Net Shakers Camp

TRINIDAD and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) Technical Director Lincoln ‘Tiger’ Phillip recently endorsed the work done at the Port-of-Spain Net Shakers Football Club. Phillip, the former national goalkeeping ace, paid a visit to the Club’s Easter Camp where he commended its head coach Curtis Orr for the overall structure of the programme, which dealt with basic technical skills, swimming and general counselling of the players. The camp, which was held at the Princes Building Ground, Port-of-Spain also received financial assistance from the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB), FEEL, VEMCO Limited, Petrotrin, Kenny’s Sports Centre and the Port-of-Spain City Corporation.


But the Club is currently urging sponsors to aid the team’s plan to compete in the forthcoming Canadian Cup, in Winnipeg, Canada. Interested persons can call 627-2288 or 750-8751. In related news, the door is open for players willing to join the club. They can do so from between the hours of 3.30 pm and 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 11.30 am, when training sessions are held.
