Comets survive PowerGen scare
ALESCON COMETS survived a scare against PowerGen Sports, at Pierre Road in Charlieville, as their sixth round Carib National Cricket League Division One encounter ended in a draw yesterday. There were no outright winners in the four matches this weekend. Resuming on their overnight 81 runs for eight wickets in response to PowerGen’s 251, Comets were dismissed for 126 and were made to follow-on by skipper Samuel Badree. At their second turn at the crease, Comets amassed 218 for six with Trinidad and Tobago captain Daren Ganga hitting 58 while national opener Imran Khan added 52.
