Boynes to start EFA season

SPORTS Minister Roger Boynes has been invited to open the new season in the Eastern Football Association. The Arthur “Jap” Brown series in the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored league will kick off on Sunday at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya, Tunapuna.

Each club led by a queen will take part in a grand march past parade with the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Corps band from 2 pm. Taking the salute will be Minister Boynes, Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation president Oliver Camps and EFA president Lennox Watson. Following the march past of teams, there will be an exhibition game between T&T Pro League champs North/East Stars and National Super League kings Joe Public.
