North Zone coaches to meet officials at 6pm today

LOCAL Basketball coaches in charge of teams in the Suppligen North Zone Baasketball League will meet with officials at the Woodbrook Youth Facility at 6pm this afternoon to iron out matters concerning the rules of the competition. The meeting will deal with bringing the referees up to date with the new FIBA rules which will take effect when the zone’s League competition begins Monday May 16 at the Jean Pierre Complex. It will bounce off with a double header.

Coaches are being reminded that the meeting is a crucial one. Officials are also reminding coaches that their failure will put their teams at a disadvantage during the season. Zonal action jumped off on Friday last with a meeting between a visiting team from St Vincent and Grenadines and the Trinidad and Tobago Under-18 team. This match followed an opening parade of 15 teams in the different categories.
