Bravo, Powell for batting course


WEST Indies players Dwayne Bravo and Ricardo Powell head a list of 12 Trinidad and Tobago cricketers who will undergo a six-day specialised individual batting course conducted by former West Indies opener Gordon Green-idge.


The programme was scheduled to start yesterday at the Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Develop-ment Centre at Balmain, Couva from 8.30 am. Also among the senior players participating in the exercise are former TT and West Indies youth captain Dinesh Ramdin and all-rounder Lendl Simmons.


Greenidge will be assisted by former West Indies Test wicketkeeper David Williams and fast bowler Tony Gray.


Among the Under-19 players invited are Adrian Bharath, who was voted the Most Valuable Player in the just-concluded Regional Under-15 tournament and West Indies youth left-arm spinner Rishi Bachan.

Under-19: Mario Belcon, Adrian Bharath, Yannick Cariah, Jason Mohammed, Darren Bravo, Kierron Pollard, William Perkins, Sunil Narine, Rishi Bachan, Marlon Barclay, Capil Harry.
