Pro bono or no?

THE EDITOR: The lawyers who are filing constitutional motions to prevent convicted murderers from the hangman’s noose have said in public, by way of reports in the newspapers that they are working for free. It has been (alleged) that there is a fund of US$60,000 made available by Amnesty International for such litigation. Are they paid from this fund?
