Pajotte hits whirlwind 107 in windball cricket

HOLLISTER PAJOTTE smashed 13 sixes and three fours in a whirlwind unbeaten 107 to pace Penal Specialists to an overwhelming 172-run victory over Ackbar Trace as action in the $100,000 National Windball Cricket League of Trinidad and Tobago continued. His innings led Penal Specialists to 205 for two wickets in their allotted 20 overs at Tarouba in their South Zone match on Sunday last. Pajotte whose century was the first in the league, featured in an opening stand of 61 runs in just six overs of which Jason Jairam got 42 including six sixes.

When Ackbar Trace batted, they were routed for a meagre 33, with Nicholas Ramphan taking four wickets for 12 runs and Jairam capping a good allround day with two wickets for two runs. In the Central Zone, Base Boys toppled Special Brew by 92 runs, while Associates of Tunapuna whipped STS Winners by seven wickets. Champions Desert United ripped Demolition by five wickets in women action. Demolition reached 80 for eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs led by Aloma Mark’s 13. But Joanne James with 24 and Judy Paul hitting a steady 16 in an opening partnership of 41, Desert United reached their target losing five wickets with three overs to spare.
