Sarwan, Gayle fire attorney Datadin
WEST INDIES cricketers Ramnaresh Sarwan and Chris Gayle have dispensed with the services of attorney Sanjeev Datadin with immediate effect. According to a news release from the West Indies Players Association, the duo in attempting to clarify and remove speculation as a result of a release issued by attorney Datadin on July 27, made it clear they never "gave any instructions to say or suggest that we will break or have broken away from, disapproved of or had any complaint aboud WIPA or its handling of any matter." Both Gayle and Sarwan, according to the release stated they have been made aware and have been involved in the decision-making by WIPA on their behalf and other players throughout. The West Indies batsmen said in the release, "We deny categorically that pressure was placed on us by WIPA to make any decisions at any time. "We are totally committed to West Indies cricket." And their release claims that Sarwan and Gayle have informed attorney Datadin his services will no longer be required.
