Greek Princess looks ready for the ‘babes’

THE unraced two-year-old filly Greek Princess lit up Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday morning. She displayed some dazzling speed in a 400 metres gallop timed in 23.87 seconds, and the Shaffique Khan owned and trained “babe” looks ready to launch her career on the race track. Also posting a good time over 400 metres yesterday was Blue Reign who has been disappointing so far.  Four-year-old also from the Khan stables, stretched out well over the distance in 24.78 seconds from the starting boxes.

And Daylight “Sueprize had a good run over the same trip clocked in 25.15 seconds. The eight-year-old roan horse Punto A Punto showed he has kept his form well in posting 26.04 for his 400 metres spin. Captain America had a handy run over the 400 metres distance in 26.14 seconds. Apart from these, most runners on the morning took things on the easy side with no racing this weekend, and pace work was the order.
