Canada in U-15 football final

CANADA advanced to the final of the inaugural Caribbean Football Union Youth Cup (under-15) when they trounced Jamaica 4-1 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium yesterday.

Mohamed Sylla sent the Canadians ahead after 34 minutes and held their lead until the half-time whistle. The young Reggae Boyz fought back gallantly and got the equalising goal in the 54th through ace striker Christopher Waugh. And it was game on as the teams went in search of the go-ahead goal, and it was Canada to get it when Christopher Sheriffe struck in the 79th.

Marcus Johnstone netted in the 81st to give the Canadians a 3-1 lead and a two-goal cushion, and Hassan Nasser fired home in the 90th for the final score.
