TT skittled for 113, Bajans 18 for three
SKIPPER Jason Mohammed hit a fighting 55 and brother Javed Mohammed 24 to rescue Trinidad and Tobago from a precarious position to some respectability in the TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge final against Barbados on a rain-affected Arnos Vale Playing Field pitch yesterday. The Mohammeds 59-run fourth-wicket partnership could well prove decisive as Trinidad and Tobago were bowled out for a paltry 113 runs on yesterday’s opening day. But with Rishi Bachan claiming two wickets for three runs and Javed Mohammed getting one for six, the young Bajans were reeling on 18 for three in reply at the close. Trinidad and Tobago lost their first wicket without a run on the board, and the second at four and third at 22 before the Mohammeds’ stand. Bajan pacer Searles was the main destroyer taking four wickets for 12 runs, while Brooks got three for 31 and Charles two for 21.
