House Of Dread break Young Hearts
HOUSE OF DREAD made a grand start in the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association Super Six series with a 6-0 demolition of SportsWorld Young Hearts. Kevin Baptiste notched a hat-trick, Michael Waldron scored twice and Winston Beraza got the other goal for the "Dreads." But Western Conference winners WASA Clean & White were dumped 4-2 by Coast Guard in their match. The Coast Guardsmen led 1-0 at the interval on Ryan Graham’s goal, but Nicholas Brown got the first of his double to pull WASA level early in the second period. Dion Lewis restored the Coast Guardsmen lead, but Brown got a second equalising goal before Wendell Isaac fired in a double to give Coast Guard victory. Carib FC edged East/West Coaching School 2-1 in another encounter with Tennyson Ragoonath opening the scoring for the Brewery Boys, who held that lead to the interval. Christopher Harewood extended the Brewery Boys’ lead before Leslie Holigan struck a late consolation. In round two action, Carib FC play Coast Guard at St Augustine Senior Comprehensive Ground; SportsWorld Young Hearts take on WASA Clean & White at Boundary Road, San Juan, and House Of Dread meet East/West Coaching School at Constantine Park, Tunapuna. Kick off is 4.15 pm.
