‘Green Machine,’ San Juan in ‘semis’
THE "GREEN Machine" St Augustine will be seeking their third straight victory over San Juan as the RBTT Intercol semi-final round takes place today. Both teams will square off from 4.15 pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima for a spot in Saturday’s final. While San Juan have been a dominant force this season, the Green Machine lads will start today’s game as favourites, having defeated San Juan in their last two encounters — 5-1 in the last Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) East Zone round on October 20 and 2-1 in the Zonal Intercol East Zone final on November 11. Naparima and Fatima will contest the other semi-final tomorrow from 4.15 pm at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
