Badree blasts 70 in trial match
SAMUEL BADREE hit a whirlwind 70 and skipper Daren Ganga got 65 as Trinidad and Tobago national cricketers preparing for this year’s Carib Beer Cricket Series rattled up 259 against a TT Reserve XI at UWI ground, St Augustine yesterday. Badree smashed five sixes and three fours in his innings, while Ganga hit three boundaries. Also among the runs were Imran Khan who got 37 and Tishan Maraj 32. Bowling for the reserve team led by Jason Mohammed, Ryad Emrit took two wickets for 16 runs, Mervyn Dillon two for 22 and Sanjeev Gooljar took for 47. Play on the second day today resumes at 9.30 am when the TT Reserve XI start their reply.
