Stars eye for third straight win
NORTH-EAST Stars can claim their third successive win in the T&T Pro League Lucozade Big Six competition when third round action takes place today. The Sangre Grande-based team, who relinquished their League crown to W Connection, have been victorious in their two Big Six contests - versus Caledonia AIA/Fire and CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh. And North East will be looking to gain full points against Defence Force, who are still recovering from their 2-1 defeat to Jabloteh in Wednesday’s FA Cup final. That game will be the second match of a double-header at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima, with Caledonia meeting Connection in the opener. Jabloteh can also continue their recent winning form (including their successful to the FA title) when they oppose United Petrotrin at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. All matches kick off at 4 pm with the exception of the North East-Defence Force battle, which gets going at 6 pm.
