Sabotage on the line
THE EDITOR: Citizens for a Better Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) is calling on the authorities of the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago to investigate some of its workers who are clearly bringing the company into disrepute. Too many citizens are unhappy with the services offered by the company. That’s why TSTT must launch a serious investigation to find out why people’s telephones take weeks or months to be repaired. It is possible that some workers may be sabotaging the company. I know of an 88-year-old citizen who has been having problems with his telephone for about a year. I can imagine the trauma this senior citizen is experiencing. While all these complaints keep coming in, TSTT continues to boast of its caring and efficient service to its customers. Telephone users who make reports to TSTT are told that repair services will be provided between three to five days. However, on too many occasions people must wait weeks or months before someone is dispatched to check their telephones. Operators taking reports from people are sometimes baffled over the length of time it takes their co-workers to repair people’s telephones. There are many good TSTT workers but there are others who should be investigated and dismissed for sabotaging the company and its clients. HARRACK BALRAMSINGH La Romaine
