THREE HELD FOR MURDER

THREE men were held during an exercise between Wednesday night and yesterday morning for the November murder of Shane Pierre. The men ages 25, 24 and 20 were held in an exercise carried out by the North Eastern Division Task Force in the Granado Street, Morvant area. The exercise coordinated by Insp. Hilaire was conducted between 2pm and 11.30 am. Pierre, 20, was shot while liming with friends at Second Caledonia, Morvant on November 24 and died on arrival at the Port-of-Spain General hospital. The three men, all from Eight Avenue, Barataria are also to be charged for the October 13 shooting of two men and one woman at Saw Mill Avenue, Barataria. Field operations were headed by Cpl. Les Pierre. Also included were PCs Mundo, Acres, Mackoonsingh and Robinson.
