Siloch tops Penal cricketers

SEAN SILOCH was named as the First Citizens Clarke Road United “Cricketer of the Year” while national youth team batsman Adrian Bharath is their “Youth Cricketer of the Year.” The club held their annual prize-giving ceremony recently, with former Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Mahadeo Bodoe adjudged as the “Club Member of the Year.” TT left-handed batsman Gregory Mahabir was praised for his outstanding performance at club level. Also receiving honourable mention were national youth and senior team players Tishan Maraj, Dane Teelucksingh, Javed Mohammed and club coach Roland Sampath, who led the TT Under-19 squad to both the three-day and limited-over titles at the 2005 regional contest. Among the delegates at the ceremony were former Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) boss Alloy Lequay, TTCB executive member Patrick Rampersad, chairman of the Penal-Debe Regional Corporation Allen Sammy, head of the World Cup 2007 Local Organising Committee (LOC) Anand Daniel and Naparima Girls’ principal Patricia Ramgoolam.
