Robbery victim saved by passers-by

A MOUNT D’OR man had to be saved by passers-by after he was beaten and robbed of $20 on Friday night. The incident occurred at about 11 pm when Shirl Ann Sorrillo was on his way to his home at Maingot Road Extension, Mt D’or. He told police three gunmen approached him and robbed him of two perfumes, a CD, and $20 in cash. When the gunmen realised that was all the money he was carrying, they began to throw rocks at him and beat him. Passers-by who live  in the area  recognised Sorrillo and intervened. The gunmen fled the scene. A report was made to the St Joseph police. investigations are continuing .
