TT recover from early glitch
DESPITE some early bumps in the road, Trinidad and Tobago went on to score 178 for seven wickets to hold the whip hand in their Carib Beer Series cricket match at UWI Ground, St Augustine. The action was thick and fast throughout a day when the Trinidadians routed Jamaica for 193 in reply to their first innings 386. Fastbowler Jermaine Lawson struck early for the Jamaicans when he had Simmons caught out . Then the other fastbowler Andrew Richardson got into the act and ripped out four wickets to send Trinidad and Tobago reeling at 69 for four wickets. But good knocks from Gregory Mahabir 37 and Richard Kelley 43 not out gave the Trinidad and Tobago the lift they wanted, leaving the home team in a very strong position with a lead of 371 runs with three wickets in hand.
