Top Of The Class ready for opposition

TOP OF THE CLASS is ready for all challengers. The ex-Triple Crown and Champion Stakes winner showed this in no uncertain manner at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, when he enjoyed his gallop over 800 metres on a fast track, clocked in 48.22 seconds yesterday morning. And Bold As Brass had Dinner Silence for company, with the Glenn Mendez-trained pair being timed in one minute 02.66 for a good workout over 1000 metres. Newcomer Kandinsky had a handy run over 1000 metres, stopping the clock at one minute 08.91 seconds. But all other stables opted for pace work throughout the morning, with trainers expected to step up their training regimen this morning as they prepare their charges for “Stars of Santa Rosa” race day on January 28.
