Top rugbyman at two-day meeting
THE International Rugby Board (IRB) Development Manager for the North America and West Indies Region (NAWIRA), Tom Jones was recently in Trinidad. He was the facilitator at a TTRFU two-day strategic planning symposium titled "TT Rugby 2006 and Beyond" held last weekend at the Cascadia Hotel, St Ann’s. The symposium was expected to review the current TTRFU development plan and all other aspects of the union in an effort to comfirm or re-design the TT rugby strategic plan for the next four-year cycle. "Mr Jones is the IRB's development point man for the region so his involvement in this excercise is a clear indicator of the importance. I am confident that at the end of the two days the key stakeholders will have consensus on the way forward," said Dave Wong, the TTRFU president.
