Marcel tops at NYAC Calypso

Marcel Bennett, performing the selection “More” at the Larry Gomes Stadium on Wednesday last, emerged winner at the Pathfinders competition for the 15-20 age group, hosted by the National Youth Action Committee. The results for the competition are as follows:

1st place — Marcel Bennett — Holy Cross College — More; 2nd place — Calvie Ann Williams — The Turnaround; 3rd place — Amrkika Mutroo — South East PoS — Wake Up Parents.
There was a tie for 4th place between — Kirt Ross — South East PoS — My Advice and — Tenaj Smith — Five Rivers Sec — Life Is What You Make It; 6th place — Charelle Hayes — A Black Woman’s Plea; 7th place — Jael Paul — Providence Girls High — Save the Children; 8th place — Mark Eastman — Carapichaima Sec — Calypso Manifesto; 9th place — Naheelah Kojo — St Martin’s Girls High — Children Making Children; 10th place — Nicole Thomas — Bring Back.
