Play the waiting game

THE EDITOR: Please afford me some space in your newspaper. Mr Panday has outfoxed Mr Jack Warner. Mr Warner is the one who first made the call to bring back Ramesh Maharaj into the UNC. At that time, Mr Panday claimed that there were elements in the UNC seeking to destroy the party. After that, there existed a cold war between Mr Panday and Mr Warner, which resulted in Jack switching his allegiance to Mr Dookeran. Mr Panday saw that as a dangerous move, because more than anyone else, Mr Warner represents the African influence in the party.

Being the fox that he is, Silver Fox decided to break up that marriage between Mr Warner and Mr Dookeran, so he made a call to bring Mr Ramesh Maharaj back into the fold. Jack had no other choice, but to go back home to Mr Panday. Now he (Jack Warner) has deserted Mr Dookeran. I think that Mr Dookeran should stay on. For one thing, he represents humility and honesty, qualities lacking in others. Mr Dookeran should sit and play the waiting game, because Mr Panday doesn’t have long in politics. He will self-destruct. Whatsoever a man sow, that shall he reap.
