Local consumer group trumpets good service

“While condemning poor service companies, we sometimes forget to praise the good ones,” ConsumerWrites.com website creator Aleem Khan said and whose nominations were published on their website last week.

He had asked members to nominate companies that offer good service for a change in an attempt to raise awareness for World Consumer Day.

ConsumerWrites.com members lauded Singer, Chaguanas; Lewis Appliances, Port-of-Spain; What’s Cooking; St Joseph Pharmacy; AK Pharmacy, St Jospeh; TTPost, Valpark; Chow’s Restaurant, Curepe; Chapman’s Storage, Fernandez Industrial Complex; Vanity Fair, Valpark; Chester Ramkissoon Hardware, Curepe; Clico; Mohammed’s Electrical Co, San Juan; Ryan Air, Tacarigua; RIK, Grand Bazaar; Xtra Foods, Grand Bazaar; Paper Based, Bookshop in Normadine; Agri-Flora, Aranguez; Ajoupa Pottery; Kairi Blooms, Piarco; Chung’s Photo Studio, Valpark; Horizon Art & Framing Gallery, Mucurapo Rd; Horticultural Society of Trinidad and Tobago Flower Market, Port-of-Spain; RBTT Bank St Augustine; HiLo, St Augustine; Tru Valu Supermarket, Valpark; Hosanna Guest House, Toco.

After giving her list based on good experiences over the years, ConsumerWrites.com member Sandra Barnes added, “You need to publish a list of poor service companies (too). That would be too long to publish, however.”

Explaining why she nominated Lewis Appliances, Hazel Brown, another member said, “Their service is excellent as are the products they sell. What I really like is that I can rely on their advice in making my choice and I can also bargain for the best price.”
