The “Fyzo” youngsters shut out Rattansingh Tyres Phase IV Nationals 3-0 at the Roopsingh Road Ground, after having the match in grip from the start.

Lesson Quashie opened the scoring in the 21st minute, darting through the Nationals defence and dribbling past an advancing goalkeeper and sliding the ball into the

net.

After a 1-0 first half, Kern Robinson blasted home a 62nd minute penalty to give his team a 2-0 lead, and Jason Ross fired in a goal at the “death” (80th minute) to clinch the title.

Earlier, Cap Off Youths stopped CZU 2-0 to take the third place on goals by Okang Ross in the 20th minute with a powerful half volley, and Adi Pollard who rifled in a rightfooted shot from the top of the 18-yard box.

“Fyzo” will go after the double when the one-day knockout series takes place at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva from 9 am.

Following the knockout, there will be the prize distribution ceremony.
