Man shot dead by IATF cops

Reports revealed officers from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), were on enquiries at Eastern Quarry, at around 6 pm, when two men armed with guns fired at them. Officers claimed that they returned fire. One of the gunmen escaped and another was wounded.

The injured man was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 7 pm.

Senior Supt Errol Denoon, ASP Hansraj and Sgt Chattoo are investigating the case.
