Gunmen rob guard of $200,000
The bandits held up a 61-year-old guard of Sentinel Security Company, after he collected the day’s earnings at TTEC and the Licensing office in San Fernando.
A police report stated the guard picked up money bags at TTEC at 4.30 pm and returned to the security company’s car which was parked on Shah Street. The guard placed the bags in the backseat.
The guard told police he was about to drive off when a car blocked his vehicle and three armed men smashed the windscreen and grabbed several bags from the backseat.
The bags, police said, contained a total of $222,000. The bandits, police said, also grabbed the guard’s loaded firearm before speeding off. Acting Cpl Mac Intosh of the San Fernando CID is investigating.
