Triangle card revives local wrestling

In the feature fight of the night a disqualification by the ring referee awarded strapping Barry Fernandez a victory against “The Hitman”.

Fernandez was the overwhelming favourite in the fight but was made to face the elusive “The Hitman” who allegedly used an illegal object to badly bruise Fernandez while he was on the ground.

The referee first awarded “The Hitman’ the victory after the three-count, but then proceeded to call him back. When “The Hitman” refused to return to the ring, the referee ordered a re-match demanded by the audience.

A rematch is carded for May 2 at the same venue from 8.30 pm and it will be preceded by a series of bouts.

In the earlier fight on Wednesday “The War Lord” had an easy victory over “Tiger Claw” after approximately fifteen minutes into the fight.

After beating his man to the ground, “War Lord” applied the dangerous “German Claw” to leave his opponent barely conscious and secured victory in the process.

The fight was a fluctuating affair in which both men took turns in battering each other.

In another bout the small figure of “Sony Major” provided some laughter for the partisan crowd before the start by taunting his opponent Tony Homer prior to entering the ring.

They too traded a barrage of punches before “Sony Major” applied the “Bow and Arrow” hold to defeat Tony Homer.
