19-year-old teen shot in neck

Reports revealed that about 11.50 pm, Liesha Khan, 19, was walking along Mendoza Street towards her home in company with a male companion, when she felt a burning sensation in the neck.

She fell to the ground and passers-by took her to the Mathura Police Station where she was rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital. Khan was treated by doctors and warded. Police believe that the bullet was meant for a man who was walking in company with Khan.

Investigations are continuing. Cpl Moonesh Baran and PC John visited the scene and Cpl Barran is investigating.
