Laventille man shot dead

A 23-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead while walking along Picton Road in Laventille at 8.35 pm yesterday.
Police reports revealed that Jason Williams of Trou Macaque Road, Laventille, was walking along Picton Road when he was confronted by a gunman.
Williams was shot six times about the body and died on the spot. The gunman then fled the scene.
Residents who heard the explosions telephoned the police who arrived shortly on the scene to find Williams’body which was then removed to the Forensic Science Centre where an autopsy was carried out yesterday.
He is the 115th person to be murdered this year. No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
