Cops nab 2 after robbery spree

Police reports revealed that officers of the Chaguanas CID were on patrol along the Chaguanas Main Road at 2 am Wednesday, when they saw two men in a car acting suspiciously. The officers gave chase and intercepted the car at Felicity Village, Chaguanas.

The two occupants were searched and a quantity of stolen jewelry was recovered.

The arrested men were taken to the Chaguanas Police Station.

While at the station, a Digicel employee pointed out the two men as the same persons who had robbed him of some jewelry.

Another man also identified the two men who had robbed him on Tuesday night.

Based on the items seized and information received, police believe that several others were also robbed on Tuesday night in Diego Martin, Tunapuna and Chaguanas. The arrested men aged, 25 and 26, will face identification parades.

Police also believe the men could be linked to other crimes committed throughout the country.
