Dane Andrews file sent to DPP

Sources added that a sexual assault did take place, but at another location, from where the body was found. So far, no arrests have been made.

Evidence collected during the life of the investigation, has been sent to Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Geoffrey Henderson, with the recommendation of a Coroner’s Inquest.

An autopsy confirmed that Andrews died as a result of asphyxia consistent with drowning. The autopsy also revealed that Andrews was a victim of sexual assault. Police sources have advised the public to be on the lookout for a sexual predator and to be alert at all times.
