Good Friday march in Couva

The resident minister of the church Monsignor Kenneth Spence invited the Presbyterian and Anglican Churches in the district to join him in the historic march to jointly celebrate the occasion.

Through the invitation the gathering peaked to around 500 as they sang appropriate hymns to mark the occasion. Several strategic stops were made along the route to address the residents about the meaning of Good Friday and what could be done to regain family values in the society as “we all seem to have lost our way through life’s journey,” Monsignor Spence said. He reminded listeners about the death of Jesus Christ “who came into the world to save sinful mankind,” and he stressed, “do not let His death be in vain.”

Here, parishioners walk through the streets of Couva.
