Tobago seabridge booked for Jazz Festival
Officials at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT) told Newsday yesterday that bookings for the fast ferries Lynx and The Cat for April 22 and 23 are completely sold out at this time due to the heavy influx of persons heading to Tobago for the Jazz Festival. Interestingly, the MF Panorama (now primarily used as a cargo vessel on the seabridge) also has a heavy load of passengers booked to travel on it to the sister isle next weekend.
PATT officials said apart from next weekend’s activities in the sister isle, the fast ferries have become a popular means of travelling to Tobago for many persons.
Meanwhile officials at Tobago Express said there has also been a large number of bookings for Tobago for next weekend’s jazz festival but declined to give any specifics. The festival which will bring together a host of local and international artistes.
Among those scheduled to perform are Sting, Vanessa Williams, Patti La Belle, Machel Montano and Shurwayne Winchester.
