St Anthony’s in Super Ten final

Jaramogi netted a match-high 30 points and made six blocks to pilot his team to a 86-69 win over the Tobago All Stars in the Boys Division semi-final. He also secured nine rebounds.

Supporting him was Kadel Lezama, who put in 22 and led all rebounders with ten boards. Imo Williams connected 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. It was a one-sided affair from the jump with the St Anthony’s Tigers leading 21-13 in the first quarter. The advantage remained in favour of St Anthony’s at the halfway margin, who by then garnered a 22-point (47-25) lead.

Tobago continued to struggle in the third session, trailing 67-48. For the Tobagonians, Jonathon Potts topscored with 26 points. Also scoring in double-digits for All Stars were Jevon Gillman (16) and Kerry Celestine (15).

In the opening match of the day, a Girls Division semi-final, Morvant/Laventille Secondary advanced easily after Malick Secondary forfeited. Today the other semi-finals in both divisions will be played. Taking to the court first will be Mucurapo Senior and Tobago All Stars in the girls group from noon. At 2 pm Bishop’s Tobago play Mucurapo Senior in the boys division.
