Karate trio needs help

These youths, who began Karate training at the tender age of three, are members of Foderingham’s Martial Arts Academy International. They were invited to the “Thirty-third Annual US Open and International Sport Karate Association Work Martial Arts Championships” in Orlando and the “True Force Global Internationals” in Texas on June 30, July 1 and July 8.

The children’s grandmother, Claudette Elvin, is asking for assistance in covering the cost for them to attend. She will also be present in the capacity of supervisor. Each individual needs $15,000 to successfully attend both championships. The cost will cover airfare, meals, accommodation, ground transport to Texas and back to Orlando, track suits, and the registration fee for both championships.

A down payment of $16,000 has to be made by Saturday in order to secure airline seats. Any one wishing to assist the family on their journey can contact Elvin at 623-9234.
