She said that “not because everyone likes calypso, chutney, roti and pelau means that there is ethnic harmony in the land. The dilemma that Indo-Trinidadians face as a community in a nation where we respect and support inclusion of all races and cultures is that we do not feel it being reciprocated by the Government who is supposed to represent all of our nation al peoples.”

Touching on the issue of Caroni (1975) Limited she said that the “legacy that our forefathers left for us was pulled out from under our feet.”
