Starlift, H2O Phlo for Dining With The Saints

A slate of top-class entertainment awaits patrons who will be able to dance off some pounds after the expected sumptuous dinner.

Top local singing group H2O Phlo will join forces with PCS Starlift steel orchestra who placed third in this year’s Panorama finals. Other entertainment will come from calypsonian Relator and DJ Crosby Sounds.

Over 80 cooks comprising mainly past students and well-wishers will converge at the college grounds to show the many patrons how well they can cook.

Among those who will display their culinary talents are attorneys Martin George, Brian Hewitt and Gregory Delzin, as well as a contingent of CIC teachers led by principal, Fr Ron Mendes.

Other regulars who will again be cooking are George Janoura, Michael Lau and Steve Santos. Also in attendance will be the now-customary cohort of cooks from rival Colleges, viz. QRC and Fatima, in addition to a team from St Joseph’s Convent across the street.

Once again, the desserts section will be coordinated by food expert Guy Chan Poon whose team created some sort of local record by serving up 51 different types of desserts last year.

The organising committee has announced that like last year, the admission fee covers not only dinner and desserts, but also includes a complimentary bar for the entire evening, and there will also be a number of valuable door prizes.

Tickets are available from Sedley Joseph at the Past Students’ office, from members of the Management Committee and also from Roderick Ward at the Mas Camp Pub, Mark Bishop Keith Greaves, Gerard Yorke and Johnny Allum. Southerners can get their tickets from Dr Alvin Henderson.
