Replace Trinity Cross and town will flood

I was blessed to receive the Trinity Cross back in the 70s I remember my children and their cousins and friends in the neighbourhood were playing cricket in front my house when a snake ran out from the bushes and ran under two loads of boulders I bought to build a foundation to put up a fence.

They called out to me “Daddy, Daddy look a snake just ran under the boulder, come and help us kill it.”

I removed three stones and the next one I held on to it broke in half and I saw a Cross on one side and when I looked at the other side I saw the same cross.

I told the children to go back and play that this is a good sign. I took it upstairs and today I still consider it as the greatest gift God gave to me. Anyone who changes the name of the Trinity Cross as our National Award will cause the worst flooding in Port-of-Spain, so Mr Patrick Manning as Prime Minister please inform your Cabinet Members not to change it.

This symbol has nothing to do with Christian connection it is our symbol, do not change it. The true meaning of the cross is communication with God. Forget about multi-ethnic society. This is Trinidad and Tobago.
