Finance, Tourism bills for debate

This type of legislation deals with, among other things, requests for additional finances in relation to the national budget.

Sources could not say what, if any, requests for additional funding would be required by Government but said everything should be clear on Friday. The current 2005/2006 Budget is $34 billion.

The Senate sits on Wednesday at 1.30 pm and debate will centre on the Tourism Development Bill 2006 which grants benefits to owners and operators of tourism projects.
