Beckles: More developments coming for Caroni East

The minister told the gathering that there were improvements in the delivery of water and electricity in several parts of the constituency to date and this was due in large part to the representation made to various government agencies by Caroni East MP Ganga Singh.

Beckles said Singh’s leadership skills were transferred to the community of St Helena and this community stands as an exemplar to several other communities in the country.

She said it was noteworthy that the people of St Helena chose to be proactive in developing their community rather than waiting on Government to do things for them.

The minister added that she would continue to work with Singh to ensure that St Helena and the entire constituency benefit from other projects which are on the drawing board.

Some of those projects include the construction of a community swimming pool and the development of the Eco Park into a proper sports and recreational area.
