Illuminat minds the store

Illuminat (TT) recently joined forces with retail enterprise software company, LOC Software, in the provision of a fully-integrated, real time, end-to-end software solution for everyday management issues.

The two IT companies signed an agreement appointing the local company as the distributor of LOC Software’s core retail application Store Management Suite (SMS) in the Caribbean.

A fast, safe and easy-to-use software, SMS manages all cash register transactions and allows greater control by store managers and owners. The Store Management Suite software can also be used to transfer sales data to ledger systems, communicate with suppliers for pricing updates and other data exchange functions.

Designed to allow total store control in multiple environment types, the SMS application uses a relational database (MS-SQL) to simplify retail operations and offer management and analysis tools that are both flexible and precise.

“Our decision to pursue a partnership agreement with LOC Software was as a result of the rapid growth and technological changes which have occurred in the supermarket industry over the past two years. We recognised the need for our retail clients to stay ahead of their game by having a fully integrated real time end-to-end solution capable of managing their operations from warehouse to store,” said Kevin Spencer.

Already, Illuminat has installed the SMS/NCR solution at Hi-Lo Food Stores St Anns and St Augustine outlets, all part of the company’s objectives of keeping up to date with the latest in retail technology, improve their customer service and give management the ability to obtain accurate and timely information to aid the decision making process.
