Posing as reporters
The goodly lady, believing that these men were bona fide journalists gave them an extensive interview.
They were busily taking notes giving the impression that they were who they said they were.
One was in his late 20s the other in his 50s. On Sunday April 23, 2006 they came to Chatham once more pretending to be members of The Associated Press, even handing out cards saying the same.
Of course, this is not a verifiable form of identification. Some residents were fooled by these two men.
These men’s true identity was revealed in a group photograph of Alcoa’s officials in a daily newspaper. This is how far Alcoa will go to get what they want.
