Fisherman held up by bandits

According to reports, at about 10.30 pm on Thursday the men held up Massy at Icacos beach.

Massy reported to police that his attackers took him to a shed where they held him at gunpoint. The fisherman told police his assailants stole an engine from a boat on the beach which belonged to fisherman Baldnath Samaroo. The engine, police said, was attached to Samaroo’s boat — Sea Hawk. According to report, the bandits hijacked Massy’s boat named Sea Scorpion. They then placed the stolen engine from Samaroo’s boat into Massy’s vessel.

The report stated that the men ordered Massy into the boat and headed to Puerto Grande near Erin. According to the report, the men placed the engine into another boat and escaped. Massy was forced to drive back to Icacos. He contacted the Cedros Police Station. Cpl Gangaram is investigating.
