CNMG on air today

This was stated in an advertisement in yesterday’s Newsday. A release late yesterday evening said Phase One of the television’s transmission will enable the systematic development of the first fully digital integrated operational television system in the country and the most advance in the region.

During the period June to September, CNMG TV will broadcast over the air on Channel 13 and Cable Channel 6. By mid-August it will expand transmission over the air on Channel 9 to serve parts of Central and South Trinidad and complete service to Tobago.

The programming content will start with four hours of commercial programming including news updates on the hour, a major news report at 7 pm and primetime programming from lcoal and international television producers.

CNMG’s radio station, Sweet (100.1) FM went on air in February.

CNMG replaces the old National Broadcasting Network (NBN) which was closed last year.
