Cigarette smokes 600m gallop

The three-year-old showed enough steam over the trip completed in a very good 37.67 seconds.

Another good run over 600 metres came from the speedy Skippy’s Dream who stopped the clock at 37.97 seconds for the trip. Winnie showed plenty verve in a 400 metres spin which she completed in the good time of 25.05 seconds.

Although not posting quick times, Crown Point looked very keen pacing over 400 metres and Uram an easy winner last time on on Indian Arrival Day, carried a nice coat and was chopping at the bit in an 800 metres run.

Danse De Cocoa, a well beaten favourite last time out, also looked good while pacing over 400 metres.

Other stables decided to take things easy with their charges yesterday, and are expected to have final speed work this morning.
