No bail for South father

The charge alleged that sometime between January 1, 2006 and June 6, 2006, the man sexually assaulted his five-year-old daughter at their Pleasantville home. Wellington told the man that he was not fixing bail for him as the offence in which he was charged with was a serious one. Wellington then ordered that he be remanded in custody.

The charge was laid by WPC Lydia Persad of the Mon Repos Police Station.

The magistrate postponed the matter to June 20.
