Morvant man shot dead

Officers from the Morvant Police Station, who rushed to the scene after getting a report of shots being fired, arrived to find three injured men lying in a pool of blood in front of a parlour near the Never Dirty basketball court.

The men were taken to hospital where one of them, Selvon Roberts, was pronounced dead on arrival. Kenneth Simon and Jermon Gabriel are warded in stable condition.

According to eyewitness reports, the men were liming near the parlour when they were ap-proached by a gunman who opened fire on them.

Selvon is the 175th murder victim for the year.
