TT celebrates soca style

Football fans throughout the city congregated around televisions at every bar, restaurant and even boutique, as the town’s usually bustling Saturday morning was brought to a near standstill as TT took the time to support our boys.

At the racing pool on Queen Street, the attention was diverted from the racetracks for more than an hour as all eyes were glued to the match.

At Mangoes Restaurant and Bar on Independence Square, the scene was very similar. Crowds of people crammed into the small building where there were four small televisions set up downstairs, with a big screen on the first floor. After the match, the celebrations seemed to be focused on Henry Street where there were more people dancing and chanting Maximus Dan’s “soca Warriors.”
